Treat everything you do like an experiment.
Why?
Experiments tune your mind towards learning from lessons, identifying patterns and looking at situations objectively.
We all tend to get possessive over our ideas and even more when we turn them into projects that take our time, heart and energy... These experiences become painful since we have been conditioned to believe that we have failed when something doesn't go according to plan.
How can it be failure when you've gained so much knowledge and experience through your experiment/adventure?
Ideas work when they've been put through thorough testing, intentional learning and constant improvements.
The next time something in your life doesn't work out, try to look at the situation as an experiment of sorts. Voila! An opportunity to learn has been presented to you.
Always remember that most times, getting it wrong simply means that you're one step closer to getting it right.

There is no one like you.
Spend time with yourself, and have meetings about yourself.
Get to know the person you are within.
The dreams you have.
The flaws you must make peace with.
The gifts that are yours to give.
The world needs them.

You attract what you say and believe. Your thoughts are messages that you send out to the universe - and well, she's listening.
Speak your life into existence.
Write them down, say them out loud, pin them up on your walls, surround yourself with reminders of who you know you can be.
Declare who you are and the things you want in life.
I believe that the energy you emit is that which you will attract. It's something you must be intentional about.
I practise speaking affirmations. I think them and I say them. It reminds me, and the universe of who I am always becoming.

It's easy to get caught up in 'tomorrow' or the pressures of things that need to be done. I find being mindful of the present has really helped me focus on making progress rather than the overwhelming about of work that lies ahead.
To stay present, I focus on my breathing - take a few deep breaths in and focus on how my breath feels. I then take a mental scan of how my body feels from the top of my head to the soles of my feet.
Switching attention to your body helps you get out of your thoughts and mind. When you return you'll notice what you are thinking about a lot clearer.
I think it's also a great way to catch yourself procrastinating - and find a way to stop it.
Deep breaths, stretch and ask yourself some questions - out loud, "What am I doing? Why am I doing this? What am I thinking about right now? How is this affecting my mood?"

I get amazed at how well animals can learn to speak our language, yet we struggle to speak theirs.
Honestly, we barely try to.
Animals have this incredible ability to see your soul, hear your intentions and smell your fears. How much kinder would human beings be to each other if we went past the obvious? If we developed deeper senses of communicating?
There wouldn't be anything that we could not overcome together.
A furry friend will love you without judgement and inhibitions. If you're open to it, they'll teach you a thing or two about how to be a better human.
Everyone deserves a furry fluffy friend.

We are all creative.
Sometimes we forget how to connect with our source of creativity, but that's something we can always find again.
How??
First, get some rest.
Then, get messy, get untidy, get away from your usual routine.
Be a child. What was your favorite thing to do as a child? Draw? Colour? Ride bikes outside? Do those things again - awaken the child within you!
Remember, the more you flex your creative muscle, the stronger it becomes.
Don't be discouraged - most of all, don't compare your spark to anyone else's. Find your spark, accept it, embrace it and get to know it more.

You'll never have anything to complain about when you notice the tiniest of blessings in your life.
Keep a gratitude jar to help you stay in a thankful mindset. Use a clean empty jar/container. Every few days, write down something you're grateful for on a post-it/small piece of paper. Fold it up and keep it in the jar. At the end of the month/year open the jar and read through your notes. It's a lovely exercise!
If you're struggling to find happiness in your current situation, I suggest you make notes more frequently; perhaps daily.
This is something that has really changed the way I view my life. I also notice good things more often!

Laughter really is the best medicine.
The more you choose happiness, the more she chooses you.
Life was never meant to be without joy, laughter and pure forms of silliness.
I really took some time to get this. It's hard to laugh when sometimes you are deeply dissapointed/frustrated.
Don't take yourself so seriously. Laugh at yourself, at those around you and at funny things that happened long ago.
Savour the moments!

It’s so easy to give in to the negative thoughts, and scary news around us. It's so important to choose to view life from an optimistic angle, and believe that things will get better.
Whatever you focus on gets bigger, and I encourage us all to stay positive in our thoughts & actions!
